That's pretty much the reason why I have cats. They provide me with the same insights (envy?) as Elvis does his owner but they are much less smelly. And easier to take to the vet.
As ever I agree with Yolanda Elizabet, cats are much more owner friendly - so are chickens and even geese!
Elvis is a good name - I must bear it in mind when we have a new cockerel (hopefully not for a while yet as ours is only about 9 months old).
So one only has one cockerel at once, is that the rule? I am v interested in chickens, possibly because I have just been reading the Origin of Species in which there is TONS about the cute littel monsters
