GLOBAL WARMING IMPLICATIONS ANNOUNCED

Met Office predictions for gardening in a period of climate change include the following good news about slugs. I'm over the moon, because less slugs really will go a long way towards making up for all those children in the third world starving to death and drowning and things.

My correspondent Kate in Canada doesn't have much of a slug problem - they have trouble with cold winters apparently

Yeap I think both them and their eggs.

This one will ended up in my truly awful pile. What a complete waste of an opportunity to inform and educate.

I agree with you Zoë. It was a real waste. I didn't see anything about it in any of the coverage - admittedly I didn't watch every single thing - but given that it was organised by the RHS themselves, it should have worked better.
